The statistics in the graph below for period ending November 30, 2017 show that Anchorage AK homes for sale, over $1M have have an inventory of over 10.95 months. A considerably good number since in February 28, 2017, there was over 18 months of inventory. This number is calculated by taking the recent Anchorage AK home sales and dividing it by the number of active Anchorage AK homes listed currently on the market. The basic theory is if no more Anchorage AK homes enter the market and sales remain steady, those Anchorage AK homes for sale, over $1M would exhaust the current inventory in 10.95 months.

The Anchorage AK homes for sale over $1M are in a challenging segment due to financing challenges, down payment and demand.  The market needs an extremely healthy economy to sustain a fluid volume of buyers for this price point. Nationally the market is experiencing the same challenges.
