You may already know the Anchorage neighborhood you would like to live in.  If you are not sure here is a list of things to consider.

This list is not all-encompassing, because there are many other helpful tools and websites.  However, this will give you a good start:

ü  Drive through the neighborhoods at different time of the day and night, and be sure you are happy with what’s going on.

ü  Drive to and from the property using different routes.  Look for amenities, grocery stores, post offices, etc.

ü  Call the local police jurisdiction, and ask about possible crime in the area.  Focus on homes next door and in the immediate area.
